Phoolon Wali Holi, Vrindavan

Coming Soon!

This is one of the best – and least invasive – aspects of Holi in Braj.

In the Phoolon Wali Holi, celebrated at Banke Bihari Temple, tesu (also known as palash), jasmine, marigold and other flowers are scattered on crowds from atop a balcony. Not only does the flower shower make for a stunning spectacle, it makes the air headily fragrant.

Flowers are also used during the Widows’ Holi that Sulabh International organises. They go a step ahead and put ice cubes in the flowers, making the experience even more refreshing.
