Hardly 3-4 hours from Delhi this beautiful 14th century fort in Alwar is a perfect weekend getaway.

Weekend Getaway From Delhi Within 300 Kms
I wanted to get away from the city for a quiet escapade but not for long, a long drive was the agenda with only 2 days on hands, including to & fro. With a bit of research and some suggestions with in 200 kms, Hill Fort Kesroli was zeroed in.

Getaway From Delhi Within 200 kms
The fort has a peaceful vibe around the entire property, backed by the aravallis and panoramic view of lush greens, this place in the middle of a sleepy village has all that you need for a quiet escape from the city. Nights are even more beautiful from atop the property.

I have always loved heritage properties, there’s a charm and nostalgia of the era gone by about them. The fort is believed to have been built by the Yaduvanshi Rajputs, claimed descendants of Lord Krishna. Due to its architectural and historical significance the fort is a recognized heritage site by the Indian Government, taken over and being run by the Neemrana Hotels.
